How it works

  1. Design it

Lay out your project in the 3D studio, or describe it in a short form.

  2. See a preliminary range

Watch how size, materials and features change the cost before anyone visits.

  3. Meet on site

We measure, check access, grade and drainage, and walk through your design with you.

  4. Approve and build

You approve one clear plan and written price, then we schedule the work.

Concrete driveways

Poured concrete with steel reinforcement, control joints to manage cracking and a broom finish for grip in rain and ice.

Decorative concrete

Stamped patterns, integral color or exposed aggregate for a driveway that looks like stone, brick or slate.

Paver driveways

Interlocking concrete or brick pavers on a compacted base. Single pavers can be lifted and reset, so repairs blend in.

Extensions and parking pads

Widen a one-car driveway, add a turnaround, or pour a pad for a boat, camper or extra car.

Aprons and walkways

Replace the apron at the street and connect the driveway to your front door, porch or patio with a matching walkway.

Repair and resurfacing

Crack repair, resurfacing coatings and sealing to bring back a tired driveway without a full tear-out.

How we build a driveway that lasts

  1. Tear out and haul away

We break up the old driveway, load it out and leave the site clean.

  2. Grade and compact the base

A compacted gravel base, sloped so water drains away from your house and garage.

  3. Form and reinforce

Forms set to your layout and steel reinforcement in the slab. Heating cables or tubing go in at this step if you add a heated driveway.

  4. Pour, finish and cure

Control joints, a broom or decorative finish, then curing. You can usually walk on it the next day and drive on it in about a week.

Built for Louisville winters

Heated driveways: no shoveling, no salt

Louisville gets snow, sleet and ice every winter. A heated driveway melts it as it falls, so your driveway, front walk and steps are clear and dry when you leave in the morning, with nothing to shovel, plow or salt.

  • 13 in.of snow in a normal Louisville winter
  • 9 in.fell in a single day on January 5, 2025
  • 8thsnowiest January on record, in 2025

Built into the slab

Electric heating cables, or hydronic tubing that carries warm fluid from a boiler, are laid on the reinforcement before the concrete is poured, or set under pavers. Nothing shows on the surface.

Turns itself on

An automatic snow and ice sensor starts the system when it is freezing and wet and shuts it off once the surface is clear. Phone control is available if you want it.

Heat only what you need

Heat the whole driveway, just the two tire tracks, or add the front walk and steps. Smaller heated areas cost less to install and to run.

Made to last

A well-installed system lasts 20 years or more. The best time to add one is when the driveway is being poured or replaced.

Example for a two-car driveway of about 500 sq ft with an electric system, in a normal Louisville winter of about 13 inches of snow and 5 to 8 snow or ice events. Your savings depend on your driveway, your winter and your utility rates. Replacing your driveway anyway? That is the lowest-cost time to add heat, because the cables or tubing go in before the pour. We check your electrical panel or gas service first and size the system to fit.
